RULES: 1) To be held under Pony Club Rules 2009. It is the competitors responsibility to make sure they are familiar with these rules. Copies of the show jumping rule book are available from The Pony Club: www.pcuk.org 2) Hard hats which conform to current safety standards as specified in the Pony Club Show Jumping Rules 2009. Pony Club members hats must be suitably tagged to show safety compliance. 3) Organisers reserve the right to merge, cancel or alter any class depending on advance entries. 4) Excessive use of a whip, spurs or voice will result in elimination or ejection from showground. 5) Rudeness or failure to obey a direction given by a judge, steward or official will result in ejection from the showground. 6) The judges decision is final; objections must be lodged with secretary in writing with £10 non-refundable deposit within 30 minutes of end of class. 7) No horse/pony can compete in more than one team per class. 8) Entries for classes 1, 2, 3 & 7 must be co-signed by Branch DCs on entry form. 9) Classes 1, 2, & 7 will be judged over 2 rounds. A 3rd round may be jumped if there is a tie for 1st place. 10) Ages as at 1st January 2009. 11) Dogs MUST be kept on leads at all times. 12) All participants attend at their own risk. Neither the organisers nor the Pony Club nor the Landowners accept responsibility for any accident, damage or loss, injury or illness to any horse, animal, rider, spectator or other person or property whatsoever.
The Organiser has taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organiser and all officials and stewards.
DIRECTIONS: From the Rockfield Road, Monmouth, at the small roundabout junction with Watery Lane, take the exit for the caravan site but follow the track bearing left for 100mtrs turning right through the gate into the field after the wall finishes on the right hand side. This is the parking field. Please drive across the field towards the dividing fence to the main show ground to park the horse boxes and trailers.
Only officials and authorised vehicles allowed on the showground itself.

Ring 1, Area 10 Open & Intermediate Qualifier & Monmouthshire Cup. To Start at 10 am
Class 1 Area 10 Open Championship Qualifier. Also incorporating Area 10 Team Competition for Hickstead Qualifier. Teams of 4 (or 3, best 3 scores to count) to be entered by the Pony Club DCs. Branches may enter more than one team.
Class 2 Area 10 Intermediate Championship Qualifier. Teams of 4 (or 3, best 3 scores to count) to be entered by the Pony Club DCs. Branches may enter more than one team.
Class 3 Monmouthshire Cup. Teams of 4 (best 3 scores to count) to be entered by the Pony Club DCs or Team Managers. Branches may enter more than one team. Teams to consist of 2 riders aged over 13 & under 21, and 2 riders under 14yrs. Jumps 33 and 29 respectively. Two rounds to be jumped, 2nd round timed.
Ring 2, Warm-up Classes & Area 10 Novice Qualifier. To start at 9.00am
Class 4 Warm-up class for Area Open. Pre-entries only. (For entrants in class 1 only) 33 One round against the clock. Times to be allocated in advance.
Class 5 Warm-up class for Area Intermediate. Pre-entries only. (For entrants in class 2 only) 3 One round against the clock. Times to be allocated in advance.
Class 6 Warm-up class for Area Novice. Pre-entries only. (For entrants in class 3 only) 29 One round against the clock. Times to be allocated in advance.
Class 7 Area 10 Novice Championship Qualifier. Teams of 4 (or 3, best 3 scores to count) to be entered by the Pony Club DCs. Branches may enter more than one team.
Times for the above Area classes will be available on our branch website from 7pm on Wednesday 1st July.
Tack & Turnout for all Area teams and individuals to be held before they compete in Area classes. Teams and individuals to present themselves to the Tack & Turnout judges at area marked on showground at least 20 minutes before they compete. The Pony Club expects competitors to wear plain dress. |

Class 13 Open 36 this class will only run if sufficient entries received.
Ring 4 Mini Showjumping, Teams & Individuals
9am to 10am Clear round showjumping.
The following classes are for teams (of 3 or 4) & for individuals. (Teams best 3 scores count, if after the 1st round there are less than 3 members remaining they will be counted as individuals. There is no lead rein team).
2 rounds (if not eliminated in the 1st round), 2nd round against the clock.
Class 14 16 8yrs & under, on lead rein & off lead rein, to be judged separately. Rosettes to be awarded to all clear rounds in class 14.
Class 15 19 10yrs & under.
Class 16 2 12yrs & under.
ENTRY FEES: Classes 1, 2 & 7 £20 per competitor. Class 3 £40 per team. Classes 4, 5 & 6 £10 per entry, £8 for Mon PC members. Classes 8 to 13 £8 per entry, £6 for Mon PC members. Classes 14, 15 & 16 £8 per individual entry, £6 for Mon PC members. £30 per team (3 or 4 team members), £24 for Mon PC teams.
Entries available on the day if space permits for classes 8 - 16 charged as above plus £2 (individuals). Team entries in classes 14 16 £4 extra.
