INSPECTION

Course open for inspection Tuesday, 29th July after 2pm.

NUMBERCLOTHS

There will be a £5 refundable charge for number cloths. Please bring your XC hats to check for tagging when collecting your number.

 

Rules

1.      The competition will be run under Pony Club Rules 2008.

2.      Ages as on 1st January 2008

3.      No pony or horse may be ridden in more than one class. All horses must be 5 years old or older.

4.      No entries will be accepted without correct fee.

5.      No telephone entries.

6.      Hats must be of the standard as laid out in Section 6(a) of the PC Eventing Rules 2008 and suitably tagged..

7.      The wearing of body protectors is compulsory for cross country and strongly recommended for show jumping.

8.      The order of phases for all classes will be DRESSAGE, SHOW JUMPING, CROSS COUNTRY. In the interests of safety and welfare any competitor who is eliminated, retires or incurs 30 or more penalties in the show jumping must seek the permission of the Official Steward before going cross country.

9.      Medical Armbands are compulsory for the cross country phase.

10.   The judges’ decision is final. Any objections must be handed to the Secretary within 20 minutes of the incident in writing together with a deposit of £10 which may be retained if the objection is not upheld.

11.   The Pony Club Third Party Legal Liability does not apply to those who are not members of the Pony Club. All non-Pony Club/Riding Club members must have their own insurance arrangements.

12.   The Organisers reserve the Right

    1. To cancel any class
    2. To divide any class
    3. To transfer competitors between sections of a class
    4. To alter the advertised times
    5. To refuse any entry

13.   Disclaimer of liability Save for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of any event to which these rules apply, nor The Pony Club, nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories or any other person or property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever.

14.   Health & Safety The organiser of this event has taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organiser and all the Officials and Stewards.

15.   Dogs must be kept on leads at all times.

How to get to Park Farm:

Entrance is on B 4233 between Abergavenny & Monmouth (North of Raglan) Recommended route from South is to leave A40 at Raglan roundabout, take old Abergavenny road (signposted “Clytha”) west then through Llanarth.
