To qualify for taking tests and competing in inter-branch
competitions, members must attend three mounted rallies and two stable
management rallies or two mounted rallies and camp since July 1st
2008. You need to have your membership card signed in order to keep a
record of your attendance.

Competitors at area level should have a copy of the
appropriate rulebook for the year. New ones are published annually and are available
from headquarters.
|
|

When
booking for rallies please make sure that your booking fee is included.
Cheques to be made out to ‘Monmouthshire Hunt Branch of the Pony Club’.

Remember
to send off your bookings form or you might be disappointed if there is no
place for you. Late bookings can only be given at a rally if there has been
a cancellation.

Parents
of members must be prepared to help unload and load the jumps.
|
|

It
is a PONY CLUB rule that any member wishing to wear spurs at a PONY CLUB
event, unless they hold their ‘B’ test or higher, must first
obtain the permission of the DISTRICT COMMISSIONER.

Remember to thank your INSTRUCTORS, D.C. and/or ORGANISERS before
you leave.

We are approaching
that fun time of year where you are all invited to learn more about
horsemanship and the countryside in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
There are a variety of badges that you
may work towards, something suitable for all ages and abilities.

Monmouth pc sweatshirt > These sessions are a great place for
members of ALL ages to make new friends and help each other learn.

DISCIPLINE
PRACTICES/TRAINING
Show Jumping,
Dressage, Eventing, Mounted Games, Tetrathlon and Polocrosse
training is now in full swing! Make
sure that you have sent in your interest forms so that you are kept
informed of what is arranged and that you don’t miss out! This training is open to ALL – as
well as working up to representing the Branch at the Area Competitions
against other branches in Area 10 which covers the South
Wales and Borders.. (The Monmouthshire is one of 18 branches
which make up Area 10,
plus a further 10 Centre Branches which are attached to
Equestrian Centres and Riding
Schools.) If our Teams and Individuals are
successful in the Area Competitions, we will qualify for the National
Championships which are held towards the end of August!
Our Branch is
hosting the Area 10 Show Jumping Competition which we are holding at the
Vauxhall Fields, Monmouth on Sunday, 5th July. There will be jumping classes for
everyone and a schedule will be available for downloading on our website
soon!
(We will be
calling for volunteers to help set up and dismantle the showground – so please keep this
weekend free in your Diary!)

CAMP 2009
Pontispool from 16th July to 21st July 2009
There are still a few
places available at this year's Camp at Pontispool.
This is a superb venue and is sure to be good fun. We have 22 riders
booked in and are currently offering places to neighbouring Pony
Clubs - so if you would like to come and haven't confirmed as yet,
please hurry. Details of camp are in the last newsletter and the booking
form is on page 7 or give Chris Edwards
a call on 07834 423454 if you have any questions.
